Cat seals are specifically designed and manufactured for long leak free performance and protection from contamination.

O-Rings

Cat O-Rings are made from materials that are matched to the fluids, temperatures and pressures found in Cat engines and machines. The materials resist wear and extrusion, and provide superior resistance to seal compression set. In addition, certain Cat O-Rings are coated with PTFE to minimize seal twisting and cutting during seal installation.

Dimensions of our O-Rings are consistently held to tight tolerances to insure they fit properly into seal grooves with the necessary seal compression.

Pin Seals

Cat Pin (grease) seals for oscillating pin joints are made from proprietary Cat urethane for longer resistance to abrasive wear and higher temperatures. Unique Cat urethane pin seal designs offer improved seal retention and superior resistance to seal failure in wet conditions which attack the seal urethane and the bond with the seal metal can.

Lip Seals

Rugged Cat rotating shaft Lip Seals ride on a film of oil for long seal life. Seal lips are designed to provide a film of oil on the shaft to minimize seal lip wear while still preventing oil from flowing past the seal. Single, double and new triple lip seal designs provide long reliable seal life and protection from external contamination entering the system.

Cat lip seal materials are specifically selected for the specific fluid, fluid temperature and pressures in our various machine and engine fluid systems. Cat Lip Seal materials are selected to provide superior resistance to seal compression set.
